When it came to finding the perfect wedding venue for the special day, Natalie and Tony were looking for a warm and cosy barn that could be the setting for every part of their wedding day. When they visited Rivervale Barn, they knew the had found ‘the one’.
This exquisite barn wedding venue in Hampshire ticked all the boxes for the happy couple and looked breathtaking when they decorated in a vintage country style. With homemade bunting, wooden signs and décor, and beautiful floral displays in peach and ivory, they added their personality to Rivervale Barn in impressive fashion.
It wasn’t just the venue that made Natalie and Tony’s wedding day extra special; they also got to enjoy the most incredible wedding food and drink with their guests, courtesy of our in-house team of chefs at Rivervale Barn. After tying the knot in the atmospheric Ceremony Barn, the couple headed outside into the October sun and enjoyed a drinks reception and canapés in the charming courtyard. The crispy risotto balls, mini shepherd’s pies and burgers and wild mushroom tartlets went down a treat!
Natalie and Tony knew they were in for a mouth-watering feast on their big day after attended the Rivervale Barn Tasting Event. There they got to sample just some of the dishes that our talented chefs can conjure, and it seemed like the newlyweds couldn’t resist trying them for a second time on their wedding day!
“We fell in love with the food at the Tasting Event and decided on some of the dishes for our wedding menu!” says Natalie. “We still have guests commenting that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Galloping Gourmet’s dishes were flawless!”
The couple treated their guests to a starter of an incredible smoked bacon Scotch egg, fillet of beef with a butternut squash sauce and dauphinoise potatoes for the main course, and a decadent vanilla cheesecake for dessert, decorated with milk chocolate and golden butterflies.

Natalie and Tony had a perfect day celebrating in the autumn sun at Rivervale Barn and wouldn’t have changed a thing! With their nearest and dearest around them and the finest wedding food to enjoy throughout the day, it was the ideal way to celebrate the start of a new chapter in their lives.
