Linda and Adam were searching for the perfect setting for their special day that could offer beautiful outdoor space to enjoy on their July wedding date and a relaxed feeling so all their guests could mingle and get to know each other. When they visited Morden Hall, a breathtaking country house wedding venue in London, they knew that it was right for them.

“We chose the venue because it was bright and airy with stylish décor that we knew would look amazing in photos. It also had a secluded garden, which is unusual for London but nice for the privacy of photos. Everything being under one roof with a dedicated Events Team also helped us make our choice!” – Linda

A personal theme

When it came to setting a theme for the day, the happy couple were keen to let Morden Hall’s chic interiors stand out, but added a few decorations to give the day a unique feel.

“Our surnames are Knight and King so we used that as a loose theme for our day. We 3D printed mini horses and knights that held our guest’s place names, crowns to hold the wedding favours and larger versions to decorate the cake.” – Linda

Personal touches made this couple’s special day truly unique. Linda’s breathtaking dress was the perfect choice for this stylish London wedding venue.

Floral arrangements created a real statement throughout the ceremony and reception and worked wonderfully with the colour scheme of blush pink, ivory and gold. Overall, their day exuded a feeling of elegance, romance and understated glamour.

The couple brought Morden Hall’s exquisite gardens inside with stunning floral arrangements. The ceremony in the Willow Room was a moment that the couple will remember for a lifetime.

Wedding food to remember

After saying ‘I do’ in the stylish Willow Room, Linda and Adam held their drinks reception outside in the summer sun. They treated their guests to elderflower and rum cocktails as well as a range of canapés that included smoked salmon blinis, mini steak and chips and crispy spring rolls.

Incredible canapés not only looked good but tasted incredible. The perfect way to start the wedding food and drink. A string quartet accompanied the couple and their guests as they enjoyed their drinks reception Elderflower cocktails were a wonderful choice for a summer drinks reception.

When it came to the wedding breakfast, the bride and groom decided on the Premier Menu package and started with a fillet of hot smoked salmon, followed by a main course of lamb two ways and a trio of desserts to round it all off. There was even a surprise course of lemon sorbet served over dry ice which really wowed their guests.

“We went to a tasting event at Morden Hall prior to our wedding so we had a chance to try some of the amazing food and drink and then pick our favourites. It all tasted incredible but the sorbet went down particularly well.” – Linda

Hot-smoked salmon was a wonderful choice for a starter A mouth-watering lamb main course was cooked to perfection by wedding caterers Galloping Gourmet. A surprise course wowed the guests and cleansed palates ahead of more delicious wedding food.

Impeccable service

The Galloping Gourmet Events Team at Morden Hall pride themselves on delivering the most amazing weddings and this was certainly the case when it came to Linda and Adam’s special day. The dedicated team were on hand every step of the way, from the couple’s first visit to their last dance on the night of their wedding.

“The Events Team were wonderful and helped us plan our wedding food and come up with a unique idea for a table plan. We decided to have our guests’ names and their table numbers on handwritten scrolls attached to a surprise elderflower cocktail. It was definitely well received by our friends and family!” – Linda

Linda and Adam made full use of all the beautiful features at Morden Hall. The couple enjoyed the beautiful reception room at Morden Hall for their wedding breakfast and speeches. A meaningful first dance signified the start of Linda and Adam’s evening reception. The couple made sure their wedding photos were unique by posing on a motorbike with customised jackets.
