If you think of the most memorable meals that you’ve ever had, they’ve usually been connected to a celebration of some kind. Birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, family events, Christmas and New Year celebrations and, of course, weddings – food always features. So, why not choose an elegant wedding menu that’s full of decadent dishes to mark your marriage? These are incredibly special options for truly special occasions and these exclusive wedding menus are sure to make memories for you and all your lucky guests.
More and more of us now describe ourselves as ‘foodies’. We love eating out and sampling new dishes and we really value and appreciate great food. An elegant wedding menu is not only impressive and indulgent, it also gives you and your guests a real gastronomic experience that will forever be linked to your big day. So, for a luxurious, refined and unforgettable wedding menu, look no further…
To set the scene for your guests as soon as possible, we definitely suggest serving an exceptional drink or two immediately after your ceremony. You could choose an exclusive Taittinger champagne or opt for your favourite from our extensive wine list. Featuring the very best wines from around the world, even the most particular wine connoisseur will be spoilt for choice. For the non-drinkers, a sparkling elderflower ‘mocktail’ is a fabulous non-alcoholic option that everyone will enjoy.
Your canapés should also ooze elegance – wild mushroom and leek tartlets with truffle oil and fine chives are a delicate delight or you could serve acorn-fed Iberico ham that’s hand-carved for your guests. Of course, the ultimate delicacy would be fresh oysters, served on the half shell with shallot vinegar and a Bloody Mary dressing, these make a real statement.
Moving into dinner, the luxury continues with a menu that’s altogether lush and more than a little lavish! A starter of salmon and crayfish sausage with pickled fennel slaw with a soy vinaigrette will set the tone for what’s to come, both in terms of food and wine too. For your elegant main course, we’d recommend perfectly cooked fillet of Scotch beef and braised veal sweetbreads served with celeriac puree alongside broad beans and buttered leeks. Our extensive wedding menus also allow you to include additional courses so if you’d like to add in a surprise course or palate cleanser at any point, you can do just that.
When your wedding party is in full swing, continue the experience by serving wonderful evening food to energise your guests for a few more hours on the dance floor. A wheel of Brie de Meaux filled with sliced truffles and drizzled with truffle oil and pickled walnuts has to be on our shortlist or, if you prefer blue cheese, a whole Cropwell Bishop Stilton, soaked in port and scoop-served to guests would be utter perfection.
An elegant wedding will never go out of fashion and neither will an elegant wedding menu. These classic dishes and drinks, served with style and finished with the finest ingredients, are sure to add to the special atmosphere of your wedding day and they’ll provide a talking point for your guests for years to come.
