Eleanor and Elliot had their heart’s set on a laid-back wedding venue where they could relax and enjoy the company of their loved ones. When they found Curradine Barns, a charming country wedding venue in Worcestershire, they knew they had the perfect place.
“We chose Curradine Barns for that perfect rustic barn feel and the cosy and friendly atmosphere,” says Eleanor. “We loved how the whole venue was ours all day long and it really appealed to us that we had on-site catering and our own personal Events Manager from Galloping Gourmet who was there if we ever needed any advice.”
In keeping with the delightful rustic feel of Curradine Barns, the happy couple’s theme of shabby chic and soft pastel colour scheme worked wonderfully.
“I made most of the decorations myself with a bit of help from some friends and family,” says Eleanor. “Vintage bunting, hand-decorated mason jars, a sign made from pallets and handmade table names all helped create that rustic style we wanted.”
After tying the knot, the couple celebrated in the sun and enjoyed drinks and canapés in the picturesque Courtyard. With the Pimm’s flowing and plenty of miniature classics to sample, it was the perfect way to enjoy the good weather.
The Galloping Gourmet chefs at Curradine Barns pride themselves on serving up the most amazing wedding food and this couple’s day was no different. After everybody had taken their seats in the Barley Barn, they were treated to a smoked bacon Scotch egg to start, a mouth-watering beef dish for the main course and classic Eton Mess for dessert.
What was on the menu? Why did you choose this food?
“It all tasted so great to me,” says Eleanor. “I had been healthy eating for months before the wedding so I ate all mine plus some of Elliot’s!”
The incredible food didn’t stop there and when day turned to night, the couple arranged for wood-fired pizzas to be cooked and served right before their guests’ eyes in the Curradine Cantina. An amazing addition to the evening reception.
With their years of experience and passion for perfect weddings, the Galloping Gourmet Events Team at Curradine Barns love helping couples make their dream wedding a reality. Eleanor and Elliot were certainly grateful for all their support.
“Honestly, the events team were just incredible,” says Eleanor. “They were so attentive and really put us at ease during the planning process. We had a few hiccups along the way regarding guests dropping out and surprise guests flying in from halfway across the world last minute and our personal Events Manager solved every single problem! She was there throughout the day and the whole thing ran so smoothly; it was a dream.”
With the sun shining, exquisite wedding food and drink on offer and the company of their friends and family, Eleanor and Elliot had the amazing laid-back wedding that they had been dreaming of at Curradine Barns.
