After years of planning, hard work and meticulous renovation, it was finally time declare Blackwell Grange officially open in November 2016. This lovingly-restored barn wedding venue in Warwickshire is set in breathtaking Cotswolds countryside, providing a tranquil and romantic setting for couples to spend their special day in. The Grade II Listed Thatch Barn has been transformed into the most remarkable ceremony setting, combining stunning contemporary and original elements seamlessly, while the purpose-built Orchard Barn and manicured gardens have been created to provide the perfect place to celebrate in style.
Our Galloping Gourmet events team, along with hands-on owners, Didi and Will were all on hand to greet plenty of guests through the doors, who had all come along to witness this highly anticipated wedding venue in all its glory. As well as exploring the idyllic grounds and converted farm buildings, the special guests were treated to the finest food and drink, including Cotswold Gin Bramble cocktails, a dramatic cheese wedding cake and delicious pizzas straight from the al fresco pizza oven. The canapés we served, especially designed for the event by our Executive Group Head Chef, included grilled sirloin of beef with duck fat chips and Béarnaise sauce alongside spiced lentil tarts with chicken, smoked paprika and coriander yogurt with fried onions.
The lucky attendees also got to experience the venue wonderfully dressed for a wedding to see exactly how it could be on their wedding day. The light-filled Orchard Barn was set for a stylish and chic wedding breakfast, and couples were free to wander up to the cosy snug that overlooked the reception space or enjoy a drink at the impressive bar. The delightful Potting Shed where brides can relax and ready themselves before their ceremony, looked incredible, as did the secluded Walled Herb Garden, which could provide the perfect peaceful escape for a few moments calm.
The launch event was a huge success and luckily for us, expert wedding photographer, Paul Willetts Photography, was also invited to capture the day, meaning that we can share his images with you too. We hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we did!
