Galloping Gourmet’s head office is based in south London, but our event venues are spread throughout the UK. With our wedding business rapidly growing and developing nationwide we are always looking to recruit outstanding individuals to help us deliver the very best dining and customer service experience; for those who meet our very high standards and expectations we offer excellent training, competitive rates of pay and a genuine opportunity to shine within a business that recognises, nourishes and rewards the very best talent in the industry.

We host and plan special events across the UK and we’re well aware there’s only one chance for us to get it right. The Galloping Gourmet customer experience requires us to provide first-class customer service from the moment we first meet a client, all the way through the tasting and planning process and then on to the big day itself.

Style, service and excellence is what we sell, and we know that those promises can only be met by our consistently recruiting the very best talent in the industry; by employing the right people we’ll continue to lead the way and stay well ahead of the curve.

Train to be the best

We need Galloping Gourmet people to be the very best in the business. We seek to recruit creative talent from both inside and outside our industry. Naturally the right professionals come well-equipped already with useful experience and accreditation and hit the ground running with us. But it doesn’t stop there. Whichever role you fulfil initially we will seek to push you onwards and upwards. We’ll invest in the provision of relevant and inspirational training programmes as well as introducing you to our other operations around the UK and that way significantly ramp up your exposure across a whole range of exciting opportunities that exists within our organisation.

Head chef

Adam was already an accomplished and successful Head Chef elsewhere but was keen to bring his skills to Galloping Gourmet. What he craved from his career was more creative and management independence but allied with strong central support and genuinely effective teamwork. He was prepared to take a more junior role and bide his time in order to get his foot in the door.

Great people get on at Galloping Gourmet so it didn’t take him long at all to be offered the chance to take the helm at one of our longest-standing and successful kitchens.

Carly started at Galloping Gourmet with a junior role within what was then a new venue opening at Mythe Barn in Warwickshire. She’s been centre-stage whilst we’ve built a tremendous reputation in a short period of time.

GROUP BAR MANAGER

Scott joined GG as a Venue Bar Manager but he quickly made himself a valuable member of our central team and added valuable expertise as we sought to transform our approach to bar staff training.

He’s also brought with him fresh ideas and an alternative ‘take’ on how best to operate – reviewing and adopting successful best practice along the way. Impressive leaders like Scott get to lead at Galloping Gourmet.

Working alongside a venue Head Chef is a tremendous way to increase a skill-set as well as gaining experience first-hand of food and cost-centre management. Galloping Gourmet’s unique set-up means Josh is also within the heart of Team Chef which encourages and enables all our Sous Chefs to have a voice and make a significant contribution.

Josh has access to this plus valuable opportunities to spread his wings and work directly with colleagues at other sites across the UK. At Galloping Gourmet impressive chefs truly can (and do) cook their way up.

Many of our best permanent staff started work for us on our casual bank which is also a great place for students to earn extra money and/or for others of all ages who simply seek a way into the catering business.
