Chrissy and Nathan’s Winter Wedding At Curradine Barns

A happy couple celebrate their wedding day at one of the finest wedding venues in Worcestershire.

Chrissy and Nathan were looking for the perfect setting for their winter wedding, a place where they could celebrate with all their friends and that looked stunning. They found exactly what they wanted in Curradine Barns, a breathtaking barn wedding venue in Worcestershire that’s full of charm and romance.

“I’d photographed a wedding here for one of my best friends in November 2014 and just loved it!” says Chrissy. “The location is idyllic, there’s plenty of inside space and it’s beautiful just as it is.”

The couple were keen to keep things simple and organic, letting the country style of the venue shine without adding too many decorations. The pieces they did add worked wonderfully with the rustic feel.

“We didn’t add much decoration to the venue because it already had everything that we wanted; a cosy fire, fairy lights and beautiful barn features,” says Chrissy. “Our main decorations were our centre pieces and we had star anise scattered about the tables as a little extra. The seating plan I made out of string, card, a large chalkboard and copper called pins and clips. We also had light up letters of our initials.”

“We really wanted a cosy feel to the day and just for people to be really happy. The day was very emotional and we were very overwhelmed by all the love from our family and friends.”

Mouth-watering wedding food

By celebrating their wedding at Curradine Barns, Chrissy and Nathan also got to enjoy the most incredible wedding food, courtesy of the in-house Galloping Gourmet catering team. They took to the Barley Barn with all their guests and enjoyed a wedding breakfast that consisted of a smoked bacon Scotch egg for starters, classic sausage and mash for mains and an incredible Eton mess for dessert.

“We picked sausage and mash as it’s our absolute favourite dinner and Eton mess is something we always used to make together,” says Nathan.

When it came to the evening reception, Chrissy and Nathan kept the amazing food coming, with wood-fired pizzas cooked out in the impressive Cantina and cheese and biscuits as a result of their towering cheese wedding cake.
